Okey! This week went so fast! PFFF unbelievable San Diego is the best!!! Woehoe, I told some people @ home just before I left, that there is not a real vacation for me this year! And I’m telling the truth…our schedule is so busy that there is not a lot of relaxing time! To bad. But Still in San Diego it totally felt like vacation! We worked really hard, but just the atmosphere felt like vacation in Spain! Walking on the boulevard……in the sun, promoting our show. Doing a small performance to promote it, really cool!
Jennie from Tucson Arizona USA was my roommate and we had a really great host-family. Of course our host-parents and 2 host-sisters! And of course I don’t have any sisters, so it was a new experience for me!
The night we arrived in San Diego we went to a really fancy Italian restaurant on the shore of San Diego’s island and then we went to the most famous hotel of San Diego to just look around and have a delicious ice-cream. It was really a warm welcome ;)
The first real day in San Diego started as a CI (Community Impact) day and I was the crew leader for a project for Habitat for Humanity! A lot of times you build or restore buildings if your working for HfH, but we were “redecorating” a hostel. The hostel really really looked good, but still there was a lot of work to do. So I painted together with GG (Vanessa) and we had a lot of fun! In the evening we had girls night! That was a lot of fun! Colette (out host mom), Coco, Alison (our host sisters), Jennie and me went to the mall, did some shopping, had dinner and we saw a movie! A real girls night out! Wednesday was also a CI day and we went to the hostel again and tried to finish the job, but it was a lot of work….so we didn’t finish it. To bad, but we tried our best! In the evening we had a beach party with al UWP’s (UPPIES) and the host families…a nice campfire, food, the ocean etc. etc.
We did some other special stuff during the rest of the week. On Friday we went with some people to the Fox 6 news, so we did some promotion on the television of Colorado! Woehoe! That was really cool! It was funny to see that everybody was so nervous! But to turned out pretty good. If you went to see it there is a link on our castblog (www.castb2007.com) In the evening we went to our neighbors and had some delicious Indian food! Saturday was our show day and I had some special mc’s wich was pretty cool….only I just heard 30 minutes before what I was supposed to say….so that didn’t really workout! But it was fun! On Sunday we slept in and around noon we went to SEA WORLD!!! Woehoe! That was so cool! Everybody of course know that I love dolphins….So I really had a good day!! As you can see on the pictures ;)
Monday we left for Corcoran. A small city in California. Corcoran has 12000 inhabitants, but if you count in the people who are in prison Corcoran has 25000 inhabitants! In this prison the really big guys of America are kept! So it’s the best protected prison of America, to bad that we didn’t go there ;)
In Corcoran we did a lot of Stand for Peace projects and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we also played with kids form the YMCA. It’s an after school program for kids who’s parents are working.
So that were pretty exhausting days! Especially f your not used to children ;) like me!
And on Friday we had our Water Olympics! This was so cool! Al kinds of games like synchronic swimming, diving up rings and sliding a slide as fast as possible! How cool! To bad….we finished as one of the last teams! Ooow and the best thing ever!!! CHUBBY BUNNY! Woehahahaha! Really it was grows. You had to put a marshmallow in you mouth and say CHUBBY BUNNY! And you could not swallow or chew the marshmallow! The person with the most marshmallows in there mouth and could say CHUBBY BUNNY clearly had won the game. So in the end Sayuri had 14!!! Marshmallows in her mouth and said CHUBBY BUNNY! It was grows, but so funny! Hahahaha!
Saturday was our show night and we preformed in a gym. And it was so hot that everybody was soaked after the show! Unbelief bull!
On Sunday we Lauren, Sofie, our host dad and me went to the sequoia trees! That was amazing! Unbelief bull that these trees are so big and so high! WOW! Of course when we arrived at General Sherman (the biggest tree ever) the battery of my camera was low! So I don’t have a picture of General Sherman
Monday was our travel day again! So Clara was my busdate…but I was really boring because I was sleeping the hole time! But we get used to each other sleeping next to each other etc. etc. That night we stayed with a host family for just one night. I was together with Joke (Belgium), Vanessa GG (Canadian) and Katie (USA) and we were hosted by a lesbian couple. One of them was a jewelry designer, so we saw her workplace and she had a lot of really neat jewelry. She worked a lot with stones en glass beats and we all got a bracelet made out of bones with some kind of beat or stone, which she is known for. They lived beautiful by the way! Totally in the forest. There was nothing you could hear or see at night (except for the forest-noises of course) It was really cool!
On Tuesday we drove from Redding to Winston Oregon. A very small village with 5000 inhabitants…so it’s really small ;) We were there to promote and to work on the Melon Festival! A small festival that promotes the melon which was the most important agricultural product in the earlier days for this village.
Together with Linn I stayed with a sweet family. They had 2 daughters and 2 sons. There oldest daughter already moved out and the others were in the ages of 13 and 10. Linn and I shared a bed and a room with there daughter Cayla. Because of all our busy schedules we didn’t see the family a lot. To bad, but that’s what happens sometimes! That week we did several CI things like painting the stage were we were performing, the stand for peace projects in schools and helping out during the festival! It was busy but a lot of fun! On Saturday we had our show during the festival and to be honest, I didn’t expect a lot of people at our show because it was not that busy at the festival during the day. But it was BUSY we sold 800 tickets (and I hoped that there would be 200 people) So that was good ;) The show went pretty good to! I was in the micgroups a lot, but it was fun!
And on Sunday Linn and I got the opportunity to go to Crater Lake together with Clara’s host-mom and with Maria’s, Jessica’s, Lesley’s and Sayuri’s host-family. And I’ve never seen such a beautiful sight! WOW! The most bluest water in a lake that is formed in a crater (een vulkaan). The Crater exploded and it left a beautiful lake! So cool!
And yep…Monday travelday. So there we went again with our suitcases in the bus. This time Katie (USA) was my busdate. And yep it was time to sleep again ;) Not because it was Katie…but I slept really bad the night before! So I guess I needed it! During our trip we stopped at the red woods. That was so beautiful These trees are the biggest (or longest) in the world…I belief that they are also the sequoia trees, but it depends on the way they grow (which area and the climate if they get sequoia or red woods) I’m not sure about that…
After staying in the forest for several hours we jumped in the bus again and went to a place were you might see Wales. But we didn’t see them. 2 BAD! But it was a beautiful view! Then…in the bus again traveling to….Eureka California! And yes when you hear California…..you would thing sunshine, beach etc. But not in Eureka….the weather is really cloudy right now, but lets just hope on sunshine tomorrow! We’ve arrived on Monday and I’m places with Lesley in a lovely host family! They live in a beautiful house with 5, yes 5!!! Children in between the ages of 2 and 17! They are so cute! 2 boys and 3 girls!
Today (Tuesday) we had a CI-day! So I went painting (again) ….Yess Linda and Ilse I’m a pro when I get back, so I can help you out with your new houses!....It was a lot of fun! We painted a snack shack (zeg maar een … niet echt een kantine, maar een tioletfaciliteit)! Together with 9 others we had sort of a paint fight! Of course not trowing paint @ each other…but more exigently letting a paintbrush falling on somebody’s face…etc! So we had a lot of fun ;) at least I did! Ow…and I did a small TV interview…so I’m getting more and more famous in the US. Oprah here I come! Hahahahaha!
And sorry guys that I didn’t write for a long time, but there simply was no time! And I haven’t told half of we did the last few weeks, but these were the most important things that happened! I miss you al! And I can truly not wait to be in Europe again! And here some Italian! Because…we …are…going…to …MILAN!! Yes just a few days ago Jörn (our iets te knappe castmanager) announced that we are not going to Lecco in Italy, but to MILAN! SO COOL! After that we are going to Switzerland (Luzern), Germany (Zell am Hamersbach and Prenzlau), THE NETHERLANDS (Dronten) and Belgium! AAAAAAAA I can’t wait to be in The Netherlands!!! WOEHOE! I hope I can introduce you all to my Cast! Really everybody is so sweet and caring! It’s crazy to say, but in the beginnings they spoke about you Cast being your new family…it actually starts feeling like it is your family!
Okey let’s not get emotional ;) hahaha!

Hockeyteam…AAAAA ik ben zo jaloers ik zou graag een wedstrijdje willen spelen! KAMPIOENE!
Papa, Mama, Jacques, Thomas en Jon, Lin, Ils, Tien, Sil, Karlijn, Lieke(s), Rene, Sarah, Es, teamgenootjes en ex teamgenootjes, ex gossicollega’s, ex (of toekomstige ;) HvC collega’s en kroeggenootjes ….so! Dat mis ik echt…hier is het openbaar vervoer echt slecht, dus je bent altijd afhankelijk van je host familie… maar stappen…dat gaat gewoon niet…bovendien moet je hier 21 zijn om te mogen drinken, dus de helft van de cast mag niet op stap (ja echt op stap!) Bovendien hebben we een curfew…een soort avondklok…we moeten om 12 uur thuis zijn ;) dussss….Maar goed, jullie weten wel wat er gaat gebeuren wanneer we in Italie zijn ;) hahahaha, bovendien krijgen steeds meer mensen problemen met onze rule number 9….ik weet niet of ik het al eerder heb verteld, maar uhm…ja denk maar goed na dan kom je er vanzelf wel achter wat rule number 9 is ;) Maar goed…wat ik dus ging zeggen…IK MIS JULLIE! Ik hoop iedereen te zien als ik in Nederland ben tussen 29 oktober en 4 november! En zeg niet dat je de datum niet op tijd wist…..op VRIJDAG 2 NOVEMBER is de UWP-SHOW!! In Dronten in theater de meerpaal (of zo iets). Maar dat is wederom te lezen om onze castblog www.castb2007.com

Zo te lezen heb je het helemaal naar je zin daar. Geniet er lekker van en ik lees graag al je ervaringen.
Wanneer je terug bent in Nederland zul je merken dat ik niet meer ben gaan hockeyen. Marein en ik krijgen namelijk een kindje in februari. Sta je van te kijken he, wij zelf ook nog steeds wel een beetje, maar we vinden het helemaal super.
Geniet nog van alles daar.

hey zuster klinkt allemaal mooi..de foto's zijn ook gaaf. dat krater meer is wel superr.. jon heeft vandaag haar kaart ontvangen ze vind hem heel leuk en wil je bedanken. vanavond moet die dikke broer van jou optrede in waalwijk dus gaan we daar ff kijken en dan daar op stap. en ik zal vandaag foto's maken van de auto's.. leuk dat we binnekort kunne komen kijken. soodat was het nogveel plezier en we missen jou ook.

Precies een maand later (tis vanddag 20 septmeber) kreeg ik een verjaardagskaartje in de brievenbus... van JOU!! Big suprise! Super dat je daar aan gedacht hebt! Ik kom zeker kijken naar je show, ben echt heel benieuwd na alles wat ik gelezen heb! Oja.. Gossi is wederom genomineerd voor het Business Gala!! Heb het nu ff heel druk, inkopen voor het huisje, op het werk veel dingen, Junior Kamer en ga zo maar ff door vandaar dus.... Maar jij hebt het ook hartstikke druk! Met veel hele leuke dingen!

Hey Suus,
ik heb je verhaal in etappes moeten lezen! Maar net als alle andere verhalen echt super! Ben al druk aan het kijken of ik kaarten aan kan komen, wil je namelijk heel graag zien: Suus on stage!
Erik (bij wie ik nu zelf ook lessen krijg) wil misschien ook mee als je in Nederland bent, hij is benieuwd hoe de lessen vruchten hebben afgeworpen!!!
Kijk er echt naar uit om je weer te zien meis! Ben blij dat je een tussenstop maakt in ons Kikkerlandje!
